The Problem
School security and student safety has become a major concern of families as well as school administration. Most schools rely solely on their own personnel or local law enforcement to identify areas of weakness and vulnerability that can lead to building breaches and attacks. Even schools that have a Security Officer or School Resource Officer (SRO) on staff benefit from the expertise of an external safety evaluation from a certified school protection specialist.
The Solution
Our National School Threat Assessment begins first with a school-wide assessment conducted by EBI and its partner organization, the SchoolRIGHTGroup. This provides the detail a school needs to understand their own strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. The resulting data and recommendations are presented in a written Executive Summary and follow-up video consultation.
The Training
Schools are encouraged to facilitate follow-up EBI Security Training, a program based on protocol from the United States Secret Service and the Diplomatic Security Service which includes training for teaching and non-teaching staff, as well as volunteers. Schools that complete the full assessment and training are properly prepared to operate a safe and sound school environment.
